eastmeetswest - an abstract painting by JUSTIN BAILEY

This is one of the last paintings I did at the last studio (the small one in Commercial Road). I decided that (because I knew I was going to have to move out) that I wanted to do a few biggish, more complicated paintings than the small "Cameos' I'd been working on there to feel that I'd actually done some things to feel really happy about my stay there, because I really didn't like it there much. Not like Carpenters Road or the new one - which is great. So I did this one and a couple of others which made me feel that I had actually achieved something and that I could feel that my time there was not wasted. I felt had pushed forward my art somewhat. I had progressed a bit.
