PAINTING OF THE MONTH NO. 2 • PONDLIFE
Pondlife is a fairly small abstract painting using oil pastel, acrylic paint, pva and glass beads. I painted this one in the studio at Commercial Road in 2004. It is the first of an ongoing series that I've continued working on at the new studio in Mile End, using these glass beads that people put in glass vessels for display purposes. I think they are wonderful and they have been central to the recent abstract paintings. I've done maybe ten of these now. I'll get pics of them on-line as soon as I can.
