"THIS IS PLANET EARTH" is an art work. It comprises of dozens of rotating animated gifs of our planet earth. These spinning globes are seen on thousands of internet sites, personal and business, and they have almost become a cliché. I personally think they are rather beautiful and very compelling, and there are so many different variations out there. Some are big, some are tiny, there are crude, basic ones and others that are incredibly detailed. I've become like a jackdaw and gone around acquiring these little moving gems from various sites on the net. All the images came from free sites, but I must thank all the anonymous artists whose skill and hard work went into making these mini Gaias. Their differing visions of our planet when put all together make up a strange, surreal and abstract work of art. Feel free to appropriate any of these images youself, they are not mine any more than they are yours. These images belong to all the people of our wired planet. I have only put them in a certain configuration for my own satisfaction, because I wanted to see what they would look like that way. All these images are free for use to use and you can download them down onto your computer for you to use how you want - in your website or forum. I only ask you to please not link to an image.

PLEASE NOTE. I have had to take this page down temporarily because some silly people insist on linking to the images which has been eating up my bandwidth and I have been fined a lot of money by my hosting company! Which means that they are spoiling everyone's enjoyment. I did ask nicely but some folks are just out to take all the time. So I am sorry, but this webpage will not be showing "The World's Largest Collection of Animated Gifs of Planet Earth" for the time being because it is off-line while I sort things out. I hope to have things back to normal service soon.
Please do not feel you have had a wasted journey, because there is my other art to see while you are here. There is lots to look at and explore. I do abstract and figurative paintings, there are some photos, and there are some animations, and I have a couple of youtube channels to look at. notwikidub is the channel where I show my arty work and wikidub is my music channel where I upload videos of reggae music.
