self portrait taken at the old studio at Carpenter's Rd, in the kitchen area which was totally
revolting, as you can see; making art is a grubby business. It looks
different now, because this is the area where I built the darkroom, and
I moved the sink to where the fridge is. Not a good idea, because my plumbing
skills came into question when I succeeded in flooding the studio and
the studios below (I was on the 3rd and third floor), on New Year's Eve 1996/97,
because the pipes froze, expanded and separated at my plumbing joints and then thawed out, with
the result that gallons and gallons of water flooded out. This damaged
work and equipment belonging to other artists. Fucking great start to
the year that was! This photo must have been taken in '95.
