~ blue rooms ~
A series of quick brush drawings/paintings on card that I made around the same time as "yin-yang", using the same paints, which is why they are this colour. These works are all based on the idea of a room, or a square space with walls, floor or ceiling - a stage perhaps - a gallery even. These rooms are the backdrop for various visual experiences, some figurative, some abstract, some combining both. After I finished these works I wrapped them up straightaway and I had almost forgotten about them. But not quite, because I knew that there had been something rather interesting going on in them and I dug them out just recently this year (april 2006) and then photographed them with my digital camera. I am pleased to see these pieces again and think they stand the test of time. See what you think.
